This is what we’re all about – quite simply the utmost quality for your eyes, your ears and all your senses. Since 1977 we have been dedicated to perfection – in audio, video, music and media, and exclusive design. To achieve this, we focus strictly on our own product development, on manufacturing our top-quality cables directly in Ballrechten-Dottingen, on exceptional recordings such as the RESO Edition.
Behind all this is our sense for precision and our fascination with the extraordinary – whether this involves complex cable structures, the stylish spatial concepts of AmbienTech or the selection of artists for our own music label. It is precisely this focus on the essentials which has made in-akustik so strong: helping us become a globally active company with international ambitions and a hugely impressive product range.

Our cables and accessories are stored and prepared for shipping at our high-bay warehouse with 3,000 storage bays covering an area of 1,350 m². In 2016 we compiled and sent 45,000 goods shipments. A state-of-the-art scanning system enables our dispatchers to put together the shipments. Around 1300 metres of cable are made every week at our production facilities. Each year we manufacture more than 7,000 special hand-made cables from our Referenz series.
Our 450 m² music and media warehouse currently houses more than 5,500 different items. Our total sales are 15 million so far. Our most successful artists and bands in terms of units sold include Erich Kunzel (600,000), Fiedemann (400,000) and Blues Company (200,000). Our artist and recordings have netted 24 jazz awards. “Rory Gallagher at Rockpalast” won the German phonographic industry association’s Golden DVD award.

in-akustik is part of the family-run Braun Group, which, besides the cable specialist braunkabel, also includes the model railway manufacturer BRAWA and Eagle Cable.
in-akustik is situated in the middle of Markgräflerland, in Ballrechten-Dottingen. It is halfway between Freiburg and Basel, tucked in between the Rhine and the Black Forest. (Further down you will find a map, and a route planner will follow soon.) With pride, we name this region "Tuscany of Germany". Spring begins here earlier than elsewhere - and summer usually lasts longer as well. Our cookery is influenced by the traditions of France and the Habsburgs, who left us to ourselves for several hundred years.
